Stunning setting, really helpful and helpful staff.
Really good experience there. The hotel was quiet, well decorated and unique room. Central heating, a work desk, and an electric kettle in the room and the amazing bed. Location near the restaurant and other attractions in the area : Valea Zalanului...

The double room looked better in person than in the photos with lovely decor and a private exterior bathroom, set in a stunning location with friendly staff.

The location was breathtaking, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. We had a blast hiking and exploring the area. the staff was kind and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or concerns. Plus, the food was absolutely delicious, especially the dinner and breakfast - so tasty and abundant!
There were a few downsides. First, the rooms were a bit outdated and could use some refreshing.

The rooms at Count Kalnoky's Transylvanian Guesthouses are cozy and comfortable, with a touch of old-world charm. I loved how each room had its own private bathroom, complete with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer.- The seating areas in certain units were a nice addition, perfect for curling up with a good book.- The private entrance in some rooms gave it a sense of privacy and convenience.- Having an electric kettle in the room was very handy for making a quick cup of tea or coffee.
Personally, I found the wardrobe in the room a bit small for my liking.

My stay at Count Kalnoky's Transylvanian Guesthouses was everything I could have asked for and more. I was like I was in a special and authentic place. The facilities were really good and the food was delicious. I even had the opportunity to participate in extra activities, like learning how to make Kürtőskalács and visiting the wise blacksmith of the village. The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and I can't thank them enough. I will definitely be coming back in the future!

One thing I absolutely loved about this charming guesthouse was the beautiful decoration. The rooms and common areas were adorned with antique furniture and traditional Transylvanian artwork, creating a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere. As a senior woman, I appreciated the attention to detail and the authentic feel of the decor. Additionally, the hotel was easily accessible for senior people, with well-maintained pathways and helpful staff available to assist with any mobility needs.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is that there could be more attentive and gracious service from the staff. While the majority of the employees were kind and helpful, there were a few instances where the children working there seemed grumpy or unresponsive.

I recently stayed at Count Kalnoky's Transylvanian Guesthouses for a weekend getaway. The rooms were cosy and spacious, with a unique design that really allowed me to escape city life. The staff were incredibly kind and communicative, going above and beyond to meet all of our needs and requests. The highlight of our stay was the tour of Kalnoky Castle, where Csaba, their key person, acted as the perfect guide. The meals, especially dinner in the cellar, provided a truly authentic experience with delicious local food. I highly recommend the blacksmith visit, although be aware that he only speaks Hungarian and Romanian. I had a fabulous and memorable stay.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
